Mental health nurses provide care at community, with mental health nurses visiting patients and their families at home, in residential centers, in prisons or in specialist clinics or units.
Children’s nurses: Under this branch nurses care children suffering many ailments. of all ages who are suffering from many conditions. Children’s nurse’s works in situations like babies born with heart complications, teenagers who have sustained broken limbs, and child protection issues.
Learning disability nurses: As it is obvious these nurses works with person having learning disabilities and other wide range of physical and mental health conditions. Their primarily work upon well-being and improvement of social behavior of people suffering with learning disability. To become a learning disable person a nurse should specialize in areas like education, sensory disability or the management of services. The nurses work as part of a team alongside GPs, psychologists, therapists, teachers and social workers.
District nurses: The nurses under this category visit people from all ages at their homes, GP surgeries or at their residential homes. For becoming a district nurse one also ought to complete a degree level specialist program before one becomes a district nurse.
